We're quackers about wetland wildlife.
Thanks to the support our members, partners and the general public, Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust has extended its Skylarks Nature Reserve at Holme Pierrepont. Following a successful appeal we purchased land adjacent to the much loved site and have been busy making the reserve more welcoming for wildlife and people. For further details about events at activities at the extended Skylarks Nature Reserve click the Find out More tab below.
Protecting wetland wildlife across the county.
Skylarks is now our third largest reserve, after the Idle Valley and Attenborough Nature Reserves - also vital wetlands. In addition, Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, also cares for a range of other wetland sites such as the Besthorpe Nature and North Muskham near Newark and Daneshill Lakes near Retford. Together these sites provide vital refuges for a range of birds from ducks such as mallard & pochard to warblers and the elusive bittern. As well as being havens for wildlife our reserves are open to visitors and provide wonderful places to see and experience wildlife on your doorstep.
